The Harris County – Houston Sports Authority (“Houston Sports”) awarded its contract for professional auditing services of its financial statements to Belt Harris Pechacek, LLLP. 

 “We are honored that the Board of Directors of Houston Sports have entrusted our firm to attest to the accuracy of their complex financing programs, which has played a pivotal role in establishing Houston, Texas as one of the premier sports destinations in the world.  Houston Sports was highly instrumental in putting Houston and Texas on center stage for events such as Super Bowl 51, which falls during the financial period we are on watch,” noted Robert Belt, Managing Partner with Belt Harris Pechacek, LLLP. 

The mission of Houston Sports is to provide oversight to world-class, professional sports venues and promote the region for sports-related events, which enhance economic development and bring better quality of life to residents. Major venues facilitated by Houston Sports include NRG Stadium, Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center, and BBVA Compass Stadium, which are financed in part through motor vehicle rental and hotel occupancy taxes.
